Mission Statement
The Washington State Chinese Cancer Network Association
(WSCCNA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve cancer survivors
and their families in the Chinese community. The WSCCNA provides activities
and programs to support and enhance the quality of life for cancer survivors
and their family and friends.
Objectives
I.
Provide and organize educational sessions to enhance the
understanding of medical, psychological and physical care of cancer
patients, cancer survivors and their family and love ones.
1. Provide and organize two
(2) educational sessions each year.
II.
Provide and organize education sessions to enhance the understanding
of social and legal issues related to cancer patients, cancer survivors and
their family and love ones.
1. Provide and organize one
(1) educational session each year.
III.
Provide physical and emotional support (i.e. provide assurance
through telephone and /or personal contact, companionship, transportation,
etc.) to cancer patients, cancer survivors and their family and love ones.
IV.
Organize support groups for cancer patients, cancer survivors and
their family and love ones. Empowering them to better deal with the disease,
emotionally and physically.

Provide and organize a monthly support group

Organize and participate in one of the cancer support activities from
American Cancer Society
(yearly).
3.
Organize and participate in one of the breast cancer support
activities from
Susan G. Komen Foundation
(yearly).
V.
Provide information and assistant to cancer patients, cancer
survivors and their family and love ones, as to enable them to access needed
resources and services.

Develop and organize activities to enhance the confidence and team
spirits to cancer patients, cancer survivors and their family and love ones.
